His tridimensional installations make use of the space to create a ctional image, which relies on a unique point of view and itself recreates a new space.<\/p>\n<p>Olga Cafiero composes delicate photographic collations, based on images that fascinate her, which she decomposes and recomposes. Reminiscent of the various genres of professional photography \u2013 such as packshots, architecture, scientific images, portraits and landscapes, her compositions allude as much to science as to magic.<\/p>\n<p>Clare Kenny applies the photographic principle of the print recording of reality to everyday objects and makes plaster casts of objects which she then reassembles in compositions alluding to modernity. Her photographs, on the contrary, are a succession of intermediary states, never fixed, which keeps the marks of their transformation and whose very material \u2013 varnished, rolled, creased, folded \u2013 is as important as the image it carries.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is built on these intervals and gaps between image, photography and object, their accumulation and layout.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 22\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>Lapses<\/em> r\u00e9unit trois artistes dont les travaux entretiennent des liens pr\u00e9cis avec l\u2019image photographique, se d\u00e9ployant dans des sc\u00e9nographies rigoureusement op\u00e9r\u00e9es, l\u2019occupation ou l\u2019appropriation d\u2019un espace donn\u00e9, et des passages souples entre les dimensions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Sebastien Verdon construit des images pr\u00e9caires, \u00e0 la limite de la figuration, par des gestes simples et efficaces, non d\u00e9nu\u00e9s d\u2019ironie: passer \u00e0 la javel un drap-housse autour d\u2019un matelas, laisser un feu d\u2019artifice se consumer sur une toile, lester un spray de peinture, encastrer une boule de cristal dans un mur. Ses installations utilisent l\u2019espace tridimensionnel de l\u2019exposition pour cr\u00e9er une image, fictionnelle et tributaire d\u2019un point de vue, qui elle-m\u00eame recr\u00e9e un nouvel espace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Olga Cafiero compose des assemblages d\u00e9licats, d\u2019une pr\u00e9cision aigu\u00eb et scientifique \u00e0 partir d\u2019images qui la fascinent, qu\u2019elle analyse, d\u00e9compose et recompose dans une forme de <em>reverse-engineering<\/em> auto-perform\u00e9. Bas\u00e9s sur des sous-genres de la photographie professionnelle \u2013 reproductions<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #808080;\"> d\u2019objets, photographie d\u2019architecture, imagerie scientifique, portraits et paysages \u2013 ses compositions convoquent autant la science que la magie, jouant des liens et des croisements de leurs esthe\u0301tiques et de leurs histoires.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Clare Kenny applique le principe photographique de l\u2019enregistrement de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 \u00e0 des objets du quotidien, par ses moulages de pl\u00e2tre aux tons sourds, qui s\u2019en affranchissent lorsque l\u2019artiste les assemble en formes abstraites \u00e9voquant la modernit\u00e9.
