Exhibition of the five nominees of the 2023 edition of the Human Rights Photography Prize of the Foundation Act On Your Future<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Technological innovations have precipitated the advent of the digital age, where intelligent and connected devices are an integral part of the private and public sphere. A tool for information, communication and empowerment, the Internet and innovative digital technologies are also powerful tools of control and alienation. Personal information is recorded and transformed into data that can then be stored and monetised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The relationship of our ultra-connected societies with new technologies is ambivalent. While some people are fascinated by the development of artificial intelligence, others fear its exponential presence. Sometimes sacred, sometimes decried, technological advances have undeniably changed our relationship with the world and raise important issues about the protection of fundamental rights, such as freedom of expression and privacy, in the real or virtual world. However innovative these technologies may be, they are still tools. So how can we ensure that they are used responsibly and in a way that benefits living beings? In the age of the augmented human and the ultra-connected, our relationship with digital and technological tools must be constantly rethought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outil d\u2019information, de communication et d\u2019\u00e9mancipation, Internet et les technologies num\u00e9riques innovantes sont \u00e9galement de puissants outils de contr\u00f4le et d\u2019ali\u00e9nation. Des informations personnelles sont enregistr\u00e9es et transform\u00e9es en data pouvant \u00eatre ensuite stock\u00e9es et mon\u00e9tis\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La relation de nos soci\u00e9t\u00e9s ultra-connect\u00e9es avec les nouvelles technologies est ambivalente. Tandis que certaines personnes sont fascin\u00e9es par le d\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019intelligence artificielle, d\u2019autres redoutent sa pr\u00e9sence exponentielle. Tant\u00f4t sacralis\u00e9es, tant\u00f4t d\u00e9cri\u00e9es, les avanc\u00e9es technologiques ont ind\u00e9niablement chang\u00e9 notre rapport au monde et soul\u00e8vent des probl\u00e9matiques importantes en mati\u00e8re de protection de droits fondamentaux, tels que la libert\u00e9 d\u2019expression et le respect de la vie priv\u00e9e, dans le monde r\u00e9el ou virtuel. Aussi novatrices soient-elles, ces technologies n\u2019en demeurent pas moins des outils. D\u00e8s lors, comment s\u2019assurer de leur usage responsable et b\u00e9n\u00e9fique pour le vivant? \u00c0 l\u2019heure de l\u2019humain augment\u00e9 et de l\u2019ultra connect\u00e9, notre rapport aux outils num\u00e9riques et technologiques doit sans cesse \u00eatre repens\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
