2022 |\u00a0Photoforum Pasquart
Project initiated with Olivier Rossel and Rudolf Steiner<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together with\u00a0Olivier Rossel\u00a0and\u00a0Rudolf Steiner\u00a0(president and vice-president of the Photoforum), Dana\u00e9 Panchaud initiated in 2021 a\u00a0research residency\u00a0format for Photoforum Pasquart, where an artist is invited to further their research in the exhibition spaces of Photoforum. The audience is invited to witness the ongoing process and has regular opportunities to discuss with the artist, through a series of talks, tours, presentations and workshop. After a month, the results of the research is installed in the space and featured for another month, in whichever state it is at the end of the residency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new format aimed to demystify artist work for a broad audience, give a sense of what research in art can mean and give more opportunities to exchange with an artist. It also aimed to give a space (and a decent fee) to an artist during a research phase, with no pressure for a final result or project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first artist invited to the research residency in 2021 was Akosua Viktoria Adu-Sanyah. After a delay due to the pandemic, and following Dana\u00e9 Panchaud’s departure from the institution, the first research residency at Photoforum Pasquart was carried out in an adapted format by her successor in January 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En collaboration avec Olivier Rossel et Rudolf Steiner (pr\u00e9sident et vice-pr\u00e9sident du Photoforum), Dana\u00e9 Panchaud a initi\u00e9 en 2021 un format de r\u00e9sidence de recherche pour le Photoforum Pasquart, o\u00f9 un artiste est invit\u00e9 \u00e0 poursuivre ses recherches en cours dans les espaces d’exposition du Photoforum. Le public est alors invit\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00eatre t\u00e9moin du processus en cours et a r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement l’occasion d’\u00e9changer avec l’artiste, \u00e0 travers une s\u00e9rie de conf\u00e9rences, de visites, de pr\u00e9sentations et d’ateliers. Apr\u00e8s un mois, les r\u00e9sultats de la recherche sont install\u00e9s dans les espaces d’exposition et pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s pendant un mois suppl\u00e9mentaire, dans l’\u00e9tat o\u00f9 ils se trouvent \u00e0 la fin de la r\u00e9sidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce nouveau format vise \u00e0 d\u00e9mystifier le travail de l’artiste pour un large public, \u00e0 donner une id\u00e9e de ce que la recherche en art peut signifier et \u00e0 multiplier les occasions d’\u00e9changer avec un artiste. Il s’agit \u00e9galement de donner un espace (et une r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration d\u00e9cente) \u00e0 un artiste pendant une phase de recherche, sans pression pour un r\u00e9sultat ou un projet final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La premi\u00e8re artiste invit\u00e9e pour une r\u00e9sidence de recherche en 2021 \u00e9tait Akosua Viktoria Adu-Sanyah. Apr\u00e8s un retard d\u00fb \u00e0 la pand\u00e9mie, et suite au d\u00e9part de l’institution de Dana\u00e9 Panchaud, la premi\u00e8re r\u00e9sidence de recherche au Photoforum Pasquart a eu lieu en janvier 2022, dans un format adapt\u00e9 par sa successeur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
