The yearly Photoforum Prize is an opportunity to reward one outstanding work in the eld of photography but also to present an overview of recent developments in the contemporary photography scene. In 2015, the jury selected the young Swiss photographer Beno\u00eet Jeannet for his series A Geological Index of the Landscape<\/em>, a complex, rigorous and extended work developed over several years about the constituent elements of the landscape.<\/p>\n

Landscape is this year a major theme, with no fewer than five out of seventeen series dedicated to landscape, in a remarkable diversity of approaches and aesthetics. The medium photography itself is another important topic, with several photographers questioning its very ontology. Documentary remains a central preoccupation of many concerned photographers, who also point out the challenges presented by issues that elude a simple and direct photographic documentation. Finally, individual and collective identity is a recurring theme in the exhibition.<\/p>\n

Chaque ann\u00e9e, si le Prix du Photoforum est l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 de r\u00e9compenser un photographe dont le travail s\u2019est particuli\u00e8rement distingu\u00e9, l\u2019exposition offre quant \u00e0 elle un aperc\u0327u de la sc\u00e8ne photographique. <\/span>Le Prix Photoforum 2015 a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9cern\u00e9 \u00e0 Beno\u00eet Jeannet pour A Geological Index of the Landscape<\/em>, une recherche rigoureuse et complexe, men\u00e9e sur plusieurs ann\u00e9es sur les \u00e9l\u00e9ments constitutifs du paysage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le paysage est une th\u00e9matique forte et tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9sente cette ann\u00e9e: pas moins de cinq travaux sur dix-sept ont trait au paysage, dans une grande diversit\u00e9 d\u2019approches et d\u2019esth\u00e9tiques. Par ailleurs, nombre de photographes \u00e9prouvent le m\u00e9dium photographique lui-m\u00eame. Le documentaire est aussi une pr\u00e9occupation centrale des photographes pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s dans l\u2019exposition, et ceux qui s\u2019y attellent <\/span>le font avec de nombreuses interrogations sur les moyens et les possibilit\u00e9s de documenter par la photographie. Enfin, l\u2019identit\u00e9, qu\u2019elle soit individuelle ou collective, et la qu\u00eate d\u2019identit\u00e9 est une th\u00e9matique fondamentale, elle aussi largement repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e dans l\u2019exposition.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
