Hoffmann&#8217;s photographic work and Marmy&#8217;s experimental installations and works on paper are thus juxtaposed, engaging in a multifaceted visual and conceptual dialogue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their works use common tropes: they both perform \u2013 be it with the camera or other tools \u2013 forms of recording based on the exploration of their environment while gradually departing from the initial observation and shifting into their own visual realm. While Marmy reproduces natural processes of degradation and transformation in her studio, Hoffmann captures external environments with his analogue camera. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#8e8e8e\" class=\"has-text-color\">Con\u00e7ues \u00e0 l\u2019origine comme deux expositions monographiques distinctes,\nles expositions de Matheline Marmy et Lukas Hoffmann occupent en d\u00e9finitive les\nespaces du Photoforum Pasquart de mani\u00e8re imbriqu\u00e9e, permettant des\nconfrontations directes entre leurs travaux et leurs langages visuels. L\u2019\u0153uvre\nphotographique de Hoffmann et les installations exp\u00e9rimentales et \u0153uvres sur\npapier de Marmy sont ici juxtapos\u00e9s dans un dialogue visuel et conceptuel complexe.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#8e8e8e\" class=\"has-text-color\">Leurs pratiques recourent \u00e0 des tropes communs: \u00e0 partir de l\u2019exploration de leur environnement, ils r\u00e9alisent tous deux des formes d\u2019enregistrement \u2014 avec une cam\u00e9ra ou d\u2019autres outils \u2014 avant de se d\u00e9tacher progressivement de l\u2019observation initiale et de glisser vers leur propre langage visuel. Alors que Marmy reproduit des processus naturels de d\u00e9gradation et de transformation dans son studio, Hoffmann capture les environnements ext\u00e9rieurs avec sa cam\u00e9ra analogique.
