The exhibition <em>Schaulust<\/em>uses\n artistic and cultural manifestations to explore the interplay of gaze \nand desire, the role of the image and the legitimacy of the gaze against\n the background of the contemporary networked image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lust to look shall be negotiated in different subcategories. The \ntheme of intimacy explores the border between the voyeuristic interest \nof the viewer, the photographic intrusion into private spheres, and the \nvoluntary surrender of privacy. Through phenomena such as <em>food porn<\/em>or\n selfies, the normalization of the gaze and the standardization of \nimages are to be addressed. Furthermore, it is to be examined how a \nfeeling of comfort, contentment and security can be generated by means \nof pictures. As a counterpart, the social retreat made possible by \nimages, the promotion of addiction-like behaviour and the image as a \nproxy for real life will also be investigated. The commodification of \nthe image, technophilia and the creation of new images by artificial \nintelligences, which both awaken and satisfy new possibilities of seeing\n and the desire to look, will also be explored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With Sophie Calle, Hannah Collins, Marine Dias Daniel, Jake  Elwes, Seiichi Furuya, Paul Graham, Gregory Eddi Jones, Andy Kassier,  Andy King, Marianne M\u00fcller, Christof N\u00fcssli, Annelies \u0160trba, Shengze  Zhu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#8e8e8e\" class=\"has-text-color\">La production et la consommation actuelles d\u2019images sont toujours de \nplus en plus con\u00e7ues pour satisfaire nos d\u00e9sirs et nos fantasmes tout en\n les attisant. Ainsi, les <em>live streams<\/em>, le <em>food porn<\/em> ou les <em>unboxing videos<\/em>\n font partie de ces ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes, bas\u00e9s sur un visionnement d\u2019images \ndigitales diffus\u00e9es sur internet qui sont li\u00e9s au d\u00e9sir et \u00e0 la \nf\u00e9tichisation, et qui touchent aux limites de l\u2019obsessionnel, de \nl\u2019intime et du pervers. Ces ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes prolif\u00e8rent en raison de notre \nd\u00e9sir de regarder, mais aussi de leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 nous donner un \nsentiment d\u2019appartenance, de participation ou de d\u00e9marcation. \nL\u2019exposition <em>Schaulust<\/em> s\u2019appuie sur des propositions \nartistiques aussi bien que des manifestations culturelles pour \u00e9tudier \nces interactions du regard et du d\u00e9sir, le r\u00f4le de l\u2019image et la \nl\u00e9gitimit\u00e9 du regard, dans le contexte de l\u2019image contemporaine en \nr\u00e9seau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#8e8e8e\" class=\"has-text-color\">Cette insatiabilit\u00e9 de voir est abord\u00e9e dans l\u2019exposition dans \ndiff\u00e9rentes cat\u00e9gories. Le th\u00e8me de l\u2019intimit\u00e9 explore les fronti\u00e8res \nentre la curiosit\u00e9 voyeuriste du spectateur, l\u2019intrusion par la \nphotographie et la vid\u00e9o dans les sph\u00e8res priv\u00e9es, et l\u2019abandon \nvolontaire de la vie priv\u00e9e. Avec des ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes comme le <em>food porn<\/em> ou les selfies, l\u2019exposition traite de la standardisation des images et de la normalisation du regard. <em>Schaulust<\/em>\n examine par ailleurs comment un sentiment de r\u00e9confort, de satisfaction\n et de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 peut \u00eatre g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 par le biais d\u2019images. En contrepoint, \nl\u2019exposition se penche sur le repli social facilit\u00e9 par les images, \nl\u2019encouragement de comportements addictifs, et l\u2019usage de l\u2019image comme \nsubstitut (<em>proxy<\/em>) de la vie r\u00e9elle. Enfin, les notions de \ntechnophilie, de commodification des images, et les contenus g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s par\n intelligence artificielle, lesquels \u00e9veillent, satisfont ou ouvrent de
